Jabulani Youths for Transformation (JAY4T) is a youth-led organization creating pathways from potential to livelihood. We work with young people to build skills, unlock opportunities, and co-create solutions through programs and employment-focused social enterprises.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Operations & Finance Lead to build and manage the systems that keep JAY4T running effectively and sustainably.

This role sits at the heart of the organization, ensuring strong financial management, smooth day-to-day operations, and a solid foundation for growth.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Financial Management

• Lead budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management
• Maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Support grant budgeting and donor financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and financial partners

Operations & Administration

• Oversee daily organizational operations
• Develop and improve internal systems and processes (SOPs)
• Manage procurement, assets, and resource allocation
• Support office and program operations

HR & Team Support

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and contracts
• Maintain staff and volunteer records
• Strengthen internal workflows, accountability, and team coordination

Systems & Organisational Efficiency

• Build simple, scalable systems for a growing organisation
• Improve coordination across programs and social enterprises
• Provide operational insights to support leadership decisions

Qualifications & Experience

• Background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 2–4 years experience in operations and/or finance
• Strong skills in budgeting and financial reporting (Excel/Google Sheets)
• Experience with compliance and/or donor-funded projects is an advantage
• Familiarity with tools like Zoho Books, HR Software, or similar is a plus
